Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali RAHVANARD
The George Washington University
Dr Ali Rahnavard is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at The George Washington University. His research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to extract biological insights from high-dimensional omics data. In particular, he works on multimodal artificial intelligence agents, microbiome-metabolome interactions and modelling biological dynamics in disease processes. In his work, he aims to generate testable hypotheses for diagnosis and treatment by combining systems biology, computational biology and statistical learning approaches. During his postdoctoral studies at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Broad Institute, he developed advanced computational methods in the field of microbiome and infectious diseases.
