Nazlı GÖKÇE was born in 1973 in Izmir, where she completed her primary, secondary and high school education. In 1995, she completed her bachelor's degree in Geography Education at Balıkesir University Necatibey Faculty of Education, her master's degree in Geography at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences in 1998 and her doctorate in 2003. Gökçe started her professional life as a nurse at Balıkesir Maternity and Child Care Centre of the Ministry of Health in 1991 and worked as a geography teacher at Gültepe Primary School and Bayrampaşa Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Istanbul between 1995 and 2000. In 2000, she became a research assistant at Anadolu University, Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education, Department of Social Studies Education. In the same year, he was appointed as a lecturer and in 2004 he was appointed as an assistant professor. In 2011, he received the title of associate professor of geography education and in 2018 he received the title of associate professor of social studies education. Between 2014-2017, he worked as deputy director at Anadolu University Institute of Educational Sciences. In 2017, he was appointed as a professor. Between 2019-2022, he served as the head of the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education. Gökçe, who works on geography education, environmental education, social studies education, is married and has two children, Deniz and Onur.
