Uzm. Also. Pakise Durmaz, BSc, MSc Adult Nursing | Matron / Nurse Leader The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS - London Pakize Durmaz is a nurse leader who started her nursing career in Turkey and continued her academic, clinical and managerial career successfully at international level in the UK. She started her education life at Polatlı Health Vocational High School, graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Nursing and completed her master's degree in nursing at the same university. She continued her academic career as a research assistant at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Nursing and took an active role in both education and scientific studies. In 2001, with the invitation of Birmingham City University, she travelled to England and examined the British nursing education and care systems on site and decided to continue her career in England with the job offer she received. Following her Mentorship in Nursing and Leadership in Nursing trainings at the University of Wolverhampton; she worked in the roles of Practice Education Facilitator, Clinical Leader and Matron. Within the scope of these duties, she has led numerous projects in the fields of education of student nurses, adaptation of new staff, leadership development and team management. Pakize Durmaz, who is currently working as Matron of Emergency Department Units at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS, continues to work on patient safety, employee satisfaction, quality care standards and the development of a sustainable leadership culture. Pakize Durmaz, who believes in continuous learning and knowledge sharing, speaks on national and international platforms as a leader who inspires both her colleagues and the next generation of health professionals.

Masterclass Programmes

Within the scope of the 21st International Congress on Women in the 21st Century, special Masterclass programmes will be organised for young artists. Each student will have a one-hour one-to-one lesson with expert instructors in their field and will take part in the other sessions as a passive audience.

At the end of the programme, students selected among the active participants will perform at the Performance Concert and will be evaluated for the "Best Performance Award".

All active participants will receive an internationally recognised certificate of participation.
