Özlem Demirel Bozkurt, who completed her undergraduate, graduate and doctorate education at Ege University School of Nursing, worked as an intensive care nurse and supervisor in the private sector and Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine Hospital between 1996-2003. Between 2003 and 2013, she worked as a research assistant at Ege University İzmir Atatürk School of Health, and since 2013, she has been working as a lecturer at Ege University Faculty of Nursing, Department of Women's Health and Diseases Nursing. In 2022, he received the title of Associate Professor. He teaches many courses at undergraduate and graduate level and supervises theses. There are many projects in which she took part. In 2017, she carried out the "Reproductive Health Awareness Project of Visually Impaired Women" with nursing students within the scope of Community Service Practices and social responsibility, and in 2018, she supervised the master's thesis titled "Effectiveness of Planned Reproductive Health Education Given to Visually Impaired Women", In 2022, he received a Utility Model certificate with the Vaginal Discharge model for visually impaired women, within the scope of the Tübitak 4008 Project in 2023, he carried out the breast and women's concerts awareness training project for visually impaired and non-visually impaired women, and in 2025, he supervised the doctoral thesis study titled "Effectiveness of Social Learning Based Planned Education for Menstruation in Visually Impaired Young Women: A Randomised Controlled Trial" and was also supported within the scope of TUBITAK 1002-B Emergency Support Module. She has many articles and book chapters in national and international journals. He is also a referee and editor in many local and foreign journals. He is a member of many scientific organisations.
