Prof. Dr. Renan TUNALIOĞLU 03.12.2025-Aydın -He completed his undergraduate education at Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 1983, his master's degree at Ankara University, Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 1987 and his doctorate degree at Ege University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Agricultural Economics in 1995. -Between 1986 and 2006, Tunalıoğlu worked as an engineer, researcher, Assistant Technical Manager and expert on R&D projects in the provincial, central and different Research Institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and as an expert in the commissions established on different issues of agriculture in the Turkish Grand National Assembly twice in 2006 and 2008. - In 2006, Tunalıoğlu transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics and started to work as an Assistant Professor. -In the same faculty, he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014, Professor in 2020 and Senior Professor in 2023. -In the same faculty, Tunalıoğlu worked as undergraduate and graduate Erasmus Coordinator between 2011-2012 and 2016-2019, department internship supervisor responsibility between 2006-2018, Faculty Management and Faculty Board memberships and Vice Dean twice and he is still the Head of the Department of Agricultural Policy and Extension. Tunalıoğlu conducts research and provides trainings in general research areas such as Agricultural Policy and Extension, Agricultural Marketing, Entrepreneurship (women and social entrepreneurship), Agricultural Tourism, women's co-operatives, etc., and works on olive and olive oil and by-products as a special field. Tunalıoğlu has many national and international published R&D projects, articles, papers and book chapters on these subjects. -Tunalıoğlu has many national and international education and research projects (funded by British Council, TUBITAK, TAGEM, BAP etc.) related to his research field. - Tunalıoğlu has been receiving and giving trainings on olive oil tasting in the public sector between 1992-1996 and in the private sector since 2007. He also works as a national and international olive oil degustator and is a member and vice-chairman of national and international competition juries. - In the faculty, Tunalıoğlu has been teaching "Agricultural Marketing" since 2006 and "Entrepreneurship and Sectoral Interaction" since 2014:" courses in a sustainable flow and in various years with professional chambers and exchanges, different NGOs and gives project management courses. Prof. Dr. Renan Tunalıoğlu speaks German at beginner level and English at intermediate level, is married and has 3 children.
